About us

At Giving Circles MENA, We believe in the power of dialogue, learning, and networking to co-create solutions that fight poverty, drive equity and build resilience.

Where we have come from

The MENA region faces major challenges, including conflict, displacement, water scarcity, and food insecurity. Traditionally, international organizations and governments have led responses, but with the decline of global aid—especially USAID’s dismantling—there’s an urgent need for new solutions. Private philanthropy must expand to fill the gap, not just with funding but by fostering locally-driven, co-created solutions. Those closest to the issues should lead the response, ensuring sustainable, community-centered impact. With the right support, local organizations can reshape humanitarian aid, moving away from top-down approaches. Investing in collaborative, context-aware initiatives can transform lives. World-changing ideas can emerge from leaders anywhere, but it’s only when we work together that real change will take hold.

A Framework for action

We empower philanthropists, nonprofit leaders and policymakers to connect, learn, and co-create solutions to help solve the most pressing challenges of the MENA region through systemic change. Through our carefully-curated online events we embrace radical collaboration, foster bold thinking, cultivate trusted partnerships and co-create solutions for lasting impact.
