Overview
Reconstructing Gaza requires addressing humanitarian needs while laying foundations for sustainable recovery. This involves prioritizing immediate aid, halting the war, lifting border restrictions, securing funding, and fostering local, regional and international agencies collaboration. The Gaza Embraced Solutions for Emergency, Recovery and Reconstruction (GESERR) Giving Circle promotes dialogue and crisis management strategies to protect Gazans’ dignity, prevent forced relocation and support them in rebuilding their lives.
Context understanding and proposed solutions presented in this report are based on the findings gathered through a co-creation online event on 17 March 2025 attended by 30 practitioners from local and international NGOs and philanthropic organizations, with experience shared by both ASAM (Association for Social Development and Association) on disaster response in Hatay/Türkiye as a good practice and informed by Level 5 consulting Group from Palestine.
