Gaza Embraced Solutions for Emergency, Resilience, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction – GESER

Purpose

Each day, Palestinians face increasing suffering. Over 1.9 million families have been forcibly displaced repeatedly, with no safe refuge. More than 2.1 million are without essential resources like protection, food, water, shelter, healthcare, education, electricity, and fuel. Gaza has endured 90,000 tons of destruction to buildings, infrastructure, and basic facilities.

Reportedly 47,000+ Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, as many as 13,000+ more lie buried under rubble and collapsed buildings, and over 100,000 have been wounded, more than one quarter of them are with life-changing injuries and need lifelong specialized care. The appalling conditions of the ruined towns of Gaza are difficult to comprehend, so complete has been the devastation.

Stopping the war is the priority, but rebuilding Gaza is crucial. The circle will co-create solutions to heal the wounds and alleviate the pain experienced by the Gazans. In brief we will discuss the following items.

  • Emergency and Resilience Support
  • Rapid, Staged, and Phased Sustainable Recovery and Reconstruction
  • Design of Priority Development Projects
